Steps
- Take a picture of signature on a piece of paper
- Download into laptop
- Use Gimp to edit the image
- Make the signature black & white with "Destaturate" > "By Luminosity"
- Make improve contrast between signature & background by going into "Brightness & Contrast" & adjusting the brightness & contrast to a suitable level
- Then make the signature bolder & more obvious by going into "Brightness & Contrast" > "Edit these settings as levels" & adjusting to desired effect

Thanks for writting blog.As you gave steps to add digital signature to office.In todays time Digital Signature are most used security mechanism these have really improved our security levels.Your blog is really useful and helped me a lot.
